About Me

Hi! I’m Rowen Slepian, a first-year MFA student at Chatham University and recipient of the Margaret L. Whitford Fellowship in Writing. My primary professional focus is in literary fiction, but I am also skilled in copywriting, journalistic writing, literary analysis, memoir, and a number of fiction subgenres such as sci-fi, fantasy, and magical realism. I also work at Chatham’s writing center as a peer tutor, where I edit student work, ranging from first-year compositions to graduate theses, in all stages of the writing process from brainstorming to proofreading. As an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh, I served as the president of the Alpha Upsilon Nu chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, where I cultivated a passion for English literature, writing, and composition through the organization of academic and social events, ultimately towards attending and speaking at the Sigma Tau Delta Annual International Convention. In my free time I love to read, watch movies and play video games.
